Welcome to Deanna's Page

Hello and welcome to my page!     I am 19 and the oldest of the three girls. I wanted to briefly share a little bit about myself and my heart's desire.    I thoroughly enjoy playing the piano and singing and often play for congregational music and family specials. I like just about any kind of outdoor activity like camping, volleyball, bike riding, fishing, and swimming. I also enjoy things like reading, embroidery work, crocheting, and sewing. The other thing I really enjoy doing is cooking, which is why I offer a monthly recipe on the bottom of my page.    My heart's desire is, first of all, to become more like Jesus. I want to daily strive to be all that  He wants me to be and to glorify Him in everything I say and do. But I also have a tremendous desire to see young ladies one day become Godly young women.  Because of this, I  currently lead a girls Bible study in our home, called Bright Lights, hoping to encourage young ladies, ages 9-15, to remain strong for the Lord going into, and during, their teenage years and to form in their lives a good solid foundation so that other Biblical principles can be applied.  More information on Bright Lights can be found by clicking on My Favorite Links below, going to brothersandsisters.net, and clicking on the Bright Lights link.    I continue to be in awe of the Lord's goodness and grace and as I avail myself to Him I continue to ask that His will be done and accomplished in my life!!                    In Christ's Love,                           Deanna "But I trust in You, O Lord; I say, 'You are my God.' Deanna's Monthly Recipe

Wacky Cake 2 cups sugar                                 2 Tbls. vinegar 6 Tbls. cocoa                                1 cup vegetable oil 3 cups flour                                  2 tsp. vanilla 2 tsp. baking soda                          2 cups cold water pinch of salt  Mix dry ingredients in a 9x13 pan.(Do not grease or flour pan.) Make 3 holes. Put vinegar in one hole, oil in one, and vanilla in the other hole. Pour cold water over all. Mix well. Bake for 40 min. at 350 degrees. This cake is so easy, quick, and not messy at all!! Very moist and delicious!!  This is a family favorite - a cake that doesn't last long in our house!!
